How strong is the porcelain?

We high fire all the porcelain at very high degrees.
Porcelain and ceramics are very tough, vitrifying during the firing process, but they can still be broken and damaged by dropping, a sharp knock, and contact by force or pressure against other solid surfaces, like metal, tiles, glass, steel door handles and stone benches etc.
This means the rings and earrings need to be worn with care, and not while you are actively working or doing activities that may mean the rings or earrings could hit other solid objects.
Think of your tableware like plates/vases/coffee/tea mugs – they are robust, and great for everyday use, but if dropped or knocked against the tap while washing they can chip/ crack/ break.

Is every design unique?

Yes. Every item is unique because it is made by hand by Jacqueline Harberink herself. That means that:
• Any tiny imperfection and variation are signs of the uniqueness of the art object
• The item on the photo of the website may differ from the delivered item.
• Not all items are in stock. If the item is not in stock, delivery time will be between 3 and 6 weeks, depending on the type of product.

Care instructions

How should I take care of the porcelain?

The JHA PORCELAIN designs are fired to high temperatures to ensure that they are strong and durable.
They will withstand normal wear and tear. But porcelain is a delicate material that should be handled with care. No problems washing the tableware/homeware in the dishwasher, and they can be used in the oven/microwave with exception of those items that have a golden or silver finish. They don’t like a dishwasher or (microwave) oven. Porcelain will most likely not survive being dropped on hard surfaces like tiles or concrete. Also be careful with impact on stone benchtops. The JHA PORCELAIN designs can be washed in warm and cool water if they become dirty – especially any un-glazed /matte surfaces. Prevent thermal shock for the designs, for example from the fridge into a heated oven. Keep acidic and abrasive substances away from the gold/silver lustre, it may cause dulling and scratching.

Order

How do I place an order?

Once you have finished adding items to your shopping cart and are ready to complete your transaction, click on the “Checkout” button. You will then be transferred to our secure server and asked to either create a new account or place an order without an account.
Once you have decided to proceed, you will be prompted to enter the name and address of the intended recipient of your shipment (i.e. your delivery information), followed by your billing details. You will have the option of indicating that the shipping and billing details are the same, if applicable.
If you have a valid promotional code, you may enter it in the “Coupon Discount” field directly beneath the shipping information. Be sure to click on the “Apply to Order” button in order to have your savings calculated and applied to your order.
After completing the shipping and coupon discount information, you will need to enter in your payment details.  Once you have completed the form, click on the “Review Order” button. You will be brought to a screen that provides an order summary. Once you are ready to complete your order, click on the “Submit order” button to the lower right of your screen.  You will receive an on-screen order confirmation, as well as a second confirmation via e-mail.

Is it possible to order a gift voucher?

Yes, it is. The minimum for a gift voucher is 25EUR. For gift vouchers please contact us at info@jhaporcelain.com.

Is buying on-line safe?

Yes. We take the utmost care with the information that you provide us when placing an order on our website (or through any other means).

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do!

Our international Shipping Policies are the following:
• The recipient is responsible for all applicable customs fees, taxes, and brokerage charges which are determined by your local government and can vary by country.
• Refused packages will be abandoned and will not be refunded.
• Any items ordered that we are unable to ship will be canceled immediately. Off course we will let you know when this is the case.
• All orders are subject to verification prior to processing and shipping.
• We are required to complete a customs declaration with the sales price of the item(s) purchased.
• JHA PORCELAIN cannot legally declare your order as a gift.
• Our available shipping methods is USPS or UPS depending on the order size.

How do I track my order?

We don’t have a track & trace system yet. But if you do require tracking we can offer it but this will come with extra costs. Just sent us an email at info@jhaporcelain.com with your wishes.

How do I know if you received my order?

After you complete the checkout process, a receipt will appear on your screen detailing your final order including your billing address, and the items that are being sent to your shipping address. Please keep this receipt for your reference.
You will also receive confirmation via e-mail that we have received your order. (Please be sure to enter your e-mail address correctly on the order form so that we can be sure to deliver your confirmation to you.)

What if I need to change my address or suspend a delivery of my order?

Please sent us an e-mail at info@jhaporcelain.com with your changes as soon as you know and we will see what we can do and let you know right away.
In your correspondence, include your old address, new address, as well as any special instructions you might have regarding suspending delivery of your order.

Delivery

What is the delivery Time?

We will post the designs by regular mail. The delivery time from the moment of sending is normally about 3 to 5 working days in Europe if an item is in stock and depending on where the shipment address is. Please, if you prefer us to use a priority mail like UPS sent us an email at info@jhaporcelain.com and we can see what we can do. Shipments outside Europe may take 2-3 weeks.

What is the delivery time if the item is not in stock?

Usually, we keep a delivery time between 3 and 6 weeks for made to order items that are not in stock.

As described in the process from porcelain clay to baked porcelain, many phases precede making an article in porcelain. The porcelain process is ‘slow’. The drying process is perhaps the phase that lasts the longest. If you try to speed up this process, chances are that the porcelain object will warp or cracks will form. So, you can not afford to rush into the process. Moreover, the drying is very dependent on the weather conditions (humidity), the thickness of the clay and the size of the object.

What to do in case of receiving damaged items?

We always wrap our design(s) adequately to avoid damage to the item(s). In the unfortunate event of damage to your purchase please contact us immediately to remedy this situation. Please send us photos of the damage and a description of what is wrong and do not dispose of item and packaging at info@jhaporcelain.com within 14 days. We will get back to you immediately to solve things.
