Today I’m showing you the making process of a “one flower’ vase on the potters’ wheel and the making of a black and white texture on this vase. I use black porcelain slip, shellac and a wet sponge to create the texture. Between the several phases in the making process there is drying time, sanding, glazing and twice a firing (the last one until 1260 C). I use different types of porcelain clay from different countries for the different making techniques I use (throwing, slip casting, hand building). #slowdesign #handmadeporcelain #wheeltrownporcelain #porcelainvase #craftsmenship #craft #porcelain #jhaporcelain #madewithlove #handmade #blackandwhite #workingfromhome
