Handmade porcelain earrings ‘NERIKOMI GOLD’ medium in black with a 24k golden lower side. These unique earrings are hand formed by using the Japanese nerikomi technique.
Jacqueline Harberink has left the porcelain unglazed in honor of the beautiful purity of the porcelain. Thanks to a refined way of polishing the surface of the earrings feels nice and smooth.
These earrings come in a stylish JHA PORCELAIN gift box.
Dimensions: approx. 1,5-2 cm. diameter of the porcelain disc. Total length is about 5 cm. including the findings.
Weight: approx. 3,5 gram a pair of earrings including the findings.
Material: unglazed Limoges porcelain and black colored Limoges porcelain with a 24k golden lower side and 14k gold filled findings.
Technique: hand formed unglazed porcelain using the Japanese nerikomi technique. Fired for the first time in the electric kiln at 950 degrees Celcius (biscuit) and for the second time at 1260 degrees Celsius. High firing makes the porcelain strong and robust. To get the golden lower side they are fired for the third time at 800 degrees Celsius.
Care: These earrings can be cleaned by using warm or cool water with a little bit of dish soap. Avoid an aggressive cleaning product on the gold.
JHA PORCELAIN uses the highest quality porcelain clay known for its strength, hardness, whiteness and translucency. Any tiny imperfection and variation are signs of the uniqueness of the art object. We reuse all the left over clay straps.
